For over two decades, Farallon Design Studio, a California-based collective of artists, designers, and fabricators, has collaborated with cities, architects, and engineers to transform everyday environments into meaningful landmarks.
We believe that public art should do more than decorate — it should define a space, tell its story, and bring people together.
Our multidisciplinary approach combines artistic vision, material expertise, and community insight, creating site-specific works — from mosaic murals and sculptural landmarks to wayfinding and transit installations — that reflect each location’s identity and invite lasting engagement.

Treasures of the Bay
Inspired by the rich ecosystem of the South Bay, this mural features 18 mosaic panels of native wildlife, rust-patina steel reminiscent of Kumeyaay ceramics, and basket-weaving-inspired insets, the artwork flows like ocean waves, bringing color and life to the transit experience.
